Position Overview:

The Director, Retail and Ecommerce Marketing is responsible for the implementation of the strategic marketing plan, overseeing social and digital media and leading creative brand management. In addition, the position is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, training, and managing all marketing and social/digital media functions to achieve Company objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensure consistency on the Marketing message and brand positioning in order to deliver on sales results. Execute the right mix of product features, positioning and price to create product demand

· Oversee social media and digital media engagement and improve channel utilization

· Report on the effectiveness of Marketing campaigns using pre-determined KPI’s

· Manage third-party relationships (printers, consultants, talent etc.)

· Partner with internal business partners including Ecommerce, Buying, Allocation and Visual Merchandising

· Ensure that marketing products are competitive, original, focused, clean and on time

· Create annual or bi-annual strategic and tactical marketing plans

· Ensure compliance with required legislation

· Manage Direct Marketing, Advertising, Event Marketing, Internal Creative Services

· Provide clear direction, coaching and development opportunities to the team


· Post-secondary education in Marketing

· 5+ years of experience in a senior-level marketing position

· Experience in strategic planning and execution

· Strong sense of urgency and effective organizational and planning skills

· People management and development expertise

· Knowledge of current fashion, consumer packaging, marketing distribution, technology trends, customer buying patterns, budgeting and advertising

· Proven business leadership skills, including, negotiating and budgeting

· Outstanding communication and leadership skills

· Knowledge of the retail industry, an asset
