Thriftys Family of Brands is currently looking for an District Loss Prevention Manager for our Head Office location.

The District Loss Prevention Manager (DLPM) is responsible for safeguarding all company assets which include but are not limited to (people, buildings, equipment, inventory, data, and intellectual property). The incumbent is responsible for the implementation of the strategic Loss Prevention processes and policies effectively in their respective district and store groups. The DLPM will implement and administer all Loss Prevention programs, train and mentor management teams to ensure operational excellence is achieved.

The District Loss Prevention Manager leads, fosters, trains, coaches, and motivates in partnership with the store operations team all Loss Prevention programs while maximizing the protection of our organization. This position focuses on people processes and analysis of data, to accurately identify shrink trends, losses, and prevention strategies.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Responsible for the implementation and execution of all Loss Prevention initiatives and policies within their assigned area to protect the company’s assets and ensure the safety of all customers and employees.
• Directly manage all internal and external investigations within assigned locations targeting the reduction of theft and fraud activity at store level
• Champion loss prevention awareness, vision and goals while collaborating with business partners.
• Train store staff and company management in Loss Prevention awareness, reducing loss, safety, inventory accuracy, cash management and internal dishonesty.
• Work with Operations to execute effective in-store strategies and projects.
• Auditing stores to evaluate LP vulnerabilities and Operational compliance as well as follow up on Loss Prevention audit action plans.

Health & Safety
• Ensure compliance with company health and safety guidelines are followed and understood. Review incident reports to ensure Emergency Situations are respected and staff/customer safety are of utmost importance.

Additional Job Functions:
• Oversee Loss Prevention training of store management and District Managers.
• Utilize XBR/OSI/tip line reporting systems to investigate losses.
• Responsible for internal theft/fraud investigation and detection as well as prevention education.
• Manage and maintain all store security equipment (alarms, EAS, safes, locks, and detex doors, etc)
• Monitoring cash over/shorts/store credit/GC/Petty cash report.
• Investigate all missing bank deposits and variances.
• Inventory planning, prep, carry through and follow-up.
• Expertly train shipping/receiving/damages and all inventory movement.
• Create Loss Prevention Awareness documents, educational materials and update as needed.
• Manage Shrink Reduction Programs throughout the region.
• Conducting conference calls, meetings and manage promotion of all LP awareness.
• Liaison with police and security officers.
• Oversee store openings and closings. (merchandise load in accuracy, LP equipment set up, administration)
