As the District Visual Trainer (DVT) you will be responsible for supporting sales productivity through effective merchandising and visual presentation. The DVT is responsible to ensure that merchandise presentations consistently represent the Company brand and image within multiple store locations. Your primary focus is to implement and maintain all visual directives. You will also work with the In-Store Merchandiser and/or the Store Manager to maximize all Company visual strategies, including the training of employees in current visual merchandising practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Regional Visual Trainer to ensure all of the applicable training for the position is completed
  • Train In-Store Merchandisers and/or store employees in visual presentation standards and maintenance
  • Implement weekly visual presentation strategies as per Head Office direction, to drive sales
  • Review new merchandise arrivals and execute effective merchandise placement
  • Assist with and ensure the timely and efficient set up of store promotions
  • Ensure window presentations are creative and drive sales
  • Effectively execute and participate in seasonal visual launches
  • Participate in seasonal visual workshops
  • Assist with processing of merchandise shipments
  • Assist with and ensure complete and accurate execution of all markdowns
  • Organize and maintain marketing signage and store fixtures
  • Review the competition, product movement and store reports
  • Enforce and maintain a neat, clean and organized (NCO) store
  • Support business growth through successful new store openings

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in fashion merchandising or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of visual merchandising experience
  • Related Work Skills
  • Excellent merchandising and presentation skills

  • Time management, organizational and multi-tasking ability
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must work well in a team-oriented environment
