The E-Commerce Merchandiser is responsible for developing a world-class shopping experience for the Company website and will ensure that the online merchandising strategy aligns with the organization and brand’s overall business objectives. This position is responsible for the developing, managing and executing appropriate navigation, category management, product assortment and visual assets for their respective product category.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all products in respective the merchandise division are online, beautifully and strategically merchandised across the site, and are represented in the category listing pages and trend shops
  • Daily monitoring of incoming product to ensure the product listings are maintained and updated
  • Regular auditing of available product online to ensure it is appropriately represented with the customer in mind
  • Adjust category strategy based on assessment of the competitive landscape (e.g. Site merchandising strategies of key competitors and best-in-class online retailers) and emerging online trends
  • Monitor stock levels and product turns to ensure we get timely replenishment and depth of assortment
  • Complete weekly divisional markdowns, ensuring all price promotions are up to date and cohesive with store
  • Assist in running site-wide promotional events
  • Identify and drive opportunities to optimize navigation and usability to maximize conversion
  • Continuously seek new ways of understanding and fulfilling the needs of our customers, improving customer satisfaction in the shopping funnel and journey
  • Develop a strategic plan based on historical performance, competitive research and customer feedback to drive sales and enhance the purchasing experience


  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, E-Commerce and/or related experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with E-Commerce
  • Experience with E-Commerce platforms and content management systems
  • Understanding of online shopping experience, on-site customer experience, and competitive environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and basic understanding of HTML and Google Analytics
