POSITION TITLE: Graphic Designer
REPORTS TO: Lead Graphic Designer
DEPARTMENT: Marketing

PURPOSE: Provide the design and output for print, digital and web of any marketing collateral to ensure successful Bluenotes branding.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Research, conceptualize, design and update in-store and digital artwork.
•Design and update in-store images, seasonal and promotional marketing, price points, packaging, training and recruiting materials, ads and digital collateral.
•Collaborate in the brainstorming for campaigns, taglines and design concepts.
•Implement typography and colour theory skills to all projects.
•Conceptualize, review, edit and provide feedback on photo shoot images.
•Assist in the layout of presentations, mock ups and handouts.
•Edit and proofread to ensure accuracy and the highest standards for all creative.
•Maintain archive of seasonal creative job files (hard copy and electronic.)
•Identify opportunities for site improvement and UX.
•Manage the uploading of print ready files to vendors & oversee press approvals.
•Any other duties as assigned by management as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Post-secondary education in Graphic Design required.
•Minimum of 3 years of graphic design experience required.
•Photo shoot experience is an asset.
•Sketching/illustration skills are an asset.
•Working knowledge of HTML/web is an asset.
•Solid knowledge of typography and colour theory.
•Expert knowledge of Abode software (including Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, Acrobat) QuarkXpress, and Microsoft Office Suite are an asset.
•Effective organizational, problem-solving skill required with an ability to meet tight deadlines with an attention to details.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Ability to successfully multi-task.
•Fashion industry experience preferred.
