The Internal Inventory Auditor is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the inventory in the stores is balanced to the inventory in the computer and that procedures related to inventory control administration and shrinkage are being followed. The Internal Inventory Auditor communicates to the District and Regional Managers any concerns related to the inventory control of the store and ensures Company procedures and practices are well-managed and efficient. The Internal Inventory Auditor Audit undertakes to bring to the attention of the Manager of Internal Audit weaknesses, in business practices and management systems and recommending improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verify, process and update daily reports
  • Follow up and process store templates and emails
  • Process store discrepancies
  • Prepare for inventory counts by following up with in transits, Key Forgot to Count emails, discrepancies, and auditing of carton shrinkage, stores with high shrinkage and stores top 15 shrinkage classes

Qualifications

  • High school education completed
  • Knowledge of internal audits and controls, including familiarity with cost accounting, inventory controls and financial system implementation
  • Must have worked in a retail store setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
