The Inventory Auditor is responsible for ensuring that the integrity of inventory in retail stores is balanced to the inventory in the computer and that procedures related to inventory control administration and shrinkage are being followed. The Auditor will identify weaknesses in business practices and recommend improvements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Verify, process and update daily reports:
Process status reports and follow up with carriers
Verification of carriers:
Monitor store on hands regularly for any inventory concerns
Prepare and submit month end reports
Prepare for inventory counts
Filing as required
Minimum of 1 year of retail audit / operations experience
Experience with a company with multiple sites is a definite plus
Knowledge of internal audits and controls as well as being familiar with cost accounting, inventory controls and financial system implementation
Related Work Skills
Ability to analyze and problem solve
Strong analytical skills and very detail oriented
Experience with Outlook, Word and Excel
Knowledge of the AS400 would be an asset
Is organized, can multitask and is able to prioritize
Must work well in a team-oriented environment
