We are currently seeking an experienced, results driven individual pursuing a career as a Technical Designer.
The primary job function of a technical designer is to prepare tech packs for ladies garments, working closely with Buying, Fit and Production Departments.
Create tech-packs of various ladies garments in knit and woven
Produce detailed sketches and provide appropriate specs for product developments
Meet with buyers to assist in developing new styles, asking the necessary questions to better understand their needs
Recognize any inconsistencies related to fit in the development requests, and provide appropriate solutions.
Participate in the product development process, providing cost effect solutions when appropriate
Detail oriented and well organized, with excellent follow-up skills and a high level of accountability
Must be effective working as a team member
3 to 5 years related retail experience required
Fluent in English with working knowledge of French
Expertise in Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of garment construction and sewing is an asset
Excellent interpersonal skills
