How you will make a difference:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the recruitment and selection for Corporate Head Office and senior Operational positions This role works closely with Hiring Managers to ensure continuous attraction and retention of top talent. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will lead full-cycle recruitment initiatives, provide strategic guidance on hiring practices, and contribute to building a strong talent pipeline aligned with organizational goals.
What You’ll Do:
· Attract and hire the best talent
· Implement full-cycle Recruitment & Selection for Corporate positions (and operational roles, as assigned)
· Facilitate the recruitment life cycle, providing a positive candidate experience
· Cultivate relationships with hiring managers, business partners and candidates
· Create and maintain computer and paper-based filing and organizational systems, ensuring a data base of candidate information
· Prepare and submit reports as requested
· Coordinate and support interview processes, including scheduling, feedback collection, and offer facilitation
· Partner with HR and leadership on offer development, negotiation, and closing candidates
· Track and analyze recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, quality of hire, source effectiveness) to drive continuous improvement
· Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and internal policies
· Maintain strong and positive relationships with industry associations, external recruiting agencies and vendors
· Develop relevant and timely updates on metrics, statistics, and trends with proactive recommendations to deliver on strategies and hiring plans/goals
· Prepare contracts and ensure all onboarding steps are successfully completed
What You’ll Need:
· Post-secondary education in a recruitment related field or equivalent experience
· 2-3 years experience in a Recruitment support position
· Experience recruiting for I.T roles
· Knowledge of the retail industry an asset
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher)
