Thriftys Family of Brands is currently looking for a Jr. Graphic Designer for our Head Office location.

What you need to be a successful Jr. Graphic Designer with Thriftys: 

  • Assistant designer: assist with research, help conceptualize, design and implement typography and colour theory to in-store and digital images
  • Forward-thinking: an innovative thinker not afraid to offer creative ideas and solutions; uses and assists with industry research and trends to support
  • Creative: assist with production of all in-store images, seasonal and promotional marketing, price points, packaging, training and recruiting material, advertisements and digital collateral
  • Detail orientated: can follow and replicate brand standards; can edit and proofread in-store and digital designs to ensure accuracy; assists with layout of presentations, mockups and other material
  • Team player: collaborates and assists in brainstorming for campaigns, taglines, and design concepts; assist with providing feedback on photo shoot campaign images
  • Organized: maintains archive of seasonal creative job files for hard and soft copies; manages uploading of print ready files to vendors and oversees press approvals; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet set deadlines

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Graphic Design required
  • Knowledge of Abode software (including Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, Acrobat), QuarkXPress, and Microsoft Office Suite as asset
  • Business knowledge and consumer trend awareness
  • Robust communicator (written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • Passion for fashion!
